Incredibly Cool Events - ICE Cooler

Back in Fenton for more incredibly cool fun!

The season is well under way now and despite injuries and team changes it really shows in the results.

Day one: off to a flying start this weekend both the Twinkles and Sparkles tiny and mini stunt groups achieved first place. The little Twinkles did their whole routine without incident and facing in the right direction! The Sparkles have shown off some of their new skills which had been so elusive earlier in the season. Now mastered, they are an integral part of the routine.

To stop confusion during the awards the Stardust team has been renamed Nova. This competition was a great one for the two youth stunt groups. With nothing between them they tied with a 3rd team from another program for first place and grand champions. The deadlock was broken by deductions and execution meaning the Starburst team came away with second place and the Nova team with 3rd. The effort and hard work put in by both teams really showed in this competition. The Shine team has also achieved a lot in the short time since the last competition. Having one less athlete for this competition, the routine has been reworked to great effect gaining 4th place for the Shine team, three places ahead of their last competition.

Day two: The day of the new uniform and hitting 0!

The Blaze team were the first of our teams to perform and it was the first time the stunt group have performed as a 4. They had a great competition hitting all their stunts to achieved 1st place.

The Inferno team kicked off our Junior competition. Having dropped a stunt and placing 8th in the last competition the Inferno team had unfinished business. With a confident performance hitting all their stunts this team shot straight to first place. The Stellar team followed them with an equally confident performance. Back to their full team now after injury, the Stellar team put in a stellar performance to achieve second place.

The Solar team was up last. With their new uniforms giving them an extra sparkle, the Solar team finally manged to get the full 13 members on the floor at the same time and came back with a second place trophy!

All teams on the Sunday had 0 deductions - well done teams

This competition was also the first time any of our athletes have placed in the ICE rink competition. Mini athlete Chloe achieved third place and Junior athlete Millie achieved second place. Well done girls

Special mention to Kaiya (centre) who competed on Saturday despite having just had a sickness bug and feeling generally rotten! Well done Kaiya
