ICE Nationals 2019

The end of our competition season! The whole season has bee leading up to this: The opprtunity to become National Champions!

Day one: Sparkles kick off the competition in style. After a few nerves in warm up they are the first team of the day to perform and the first to show the judges what SSCS are made of and they are immediately followed by Twinkles. Both stunt groups achieved first place.

Next up are Starburst with an amazing performace and some new moves closely folowed by Stardust - back to their original name to end the season in style in 4th place. A great start to the weekend by the stunt groups!

The first SSCS cheerleading team to perform this weekend, the Shine team put in a great performance to come 7th. The Starlets team finished our Saturday Nationals campaign with their best performance to date and a high score against some very good teams coming away with 7th place. 

Day two: Disaster struck for the Junior teams in training for Nationals as cheerleader Grace was injured in training. Following this the Junior teams had one hour to re-arrange their Solar routine, add a substitute to their Inferno team and give the Stellar team a chance to practise as their practise time had been missed.

The Inferno team kicked off our Junior competition. With injured Grace cheering them on from the sidelines and Millie having learned their routine in such a short time they put in a fabulous performance to reach 4th place. The Stellar team followed them with an equally confident performance. Back to two flyers and a new routine (again) their marvellous performance took them into 3rd place. 

The Blaze team were the last of our stunt groups to perform and it was this Blaze teams last performance together. They ended their season with a good clean routine which earned them 5th place. 

The Solar team was up last. Now down to 11 members and a routine shuffled last minute they gave it their all and performed admirably to grab the 3rd place trophy.
