Northern Frostbite was our first competition of the season for SSCS and the first competition ever for our newest recruits. The teams handled themselves marvellously in the cold weather gaining some fabulous results!

Day one: The tiny twinkles team came first with their disco stunt group routine; Mini stunt group Sparkles showed off some newly learned skills to edge themselves into second place. The new Stardust team, all except flyer fearne in their first stunt group routine, came away with 6th place and a lot of experience! Starburst stormed into second place just a tiny amount behind the first place team despite performing to the wrong music! The Starlets mini team in their first cometition together performed a great routine and came 6th. The Shine youth team also had a great first outing placing 4th in their category.

Day 2: The returning Inferno team opened the competition with great enthusiasm and skill gaining a second place trophy for their efforts. The Stellar team followed with a forth place finish; despite a mishap early in their routine they carried on admirably. The Blaze team were up next with their new line up achieving a second place trophy in their first competition with two flyers. The final team of the weekend was the Solar team. This team has gone through many changes since the beginning of the season! It started as a level 1 team, due to some older athletes leaving the team it merged with the senior galaxy team to become a junior level 2. A few weeks, a new routine and a lot of hard work later the team attained a 3rd place trophy!
